Half the Sky Foundation

Emmanuel's Spirituality of Parenting Group decided to sponsor a child for one year through the Half the Sky Foundation. This nonprofit agency is concerned with the care and nurturing of Chinese children living in orphanages. Half the Sky creates and maintains infant nurture centers, preschools, and individualized learning programs inside China's state-run orphanages. Their mission is to enrich the lives and enhance the prospects for the thousands of children who wait. They provide stimulation, individual attention, and an active learning environment, and a chance for a better life.

In choosing to sponsor a child for one year, Emmanuel's Spirituality of Parenting Group has committed to sending $300. The families in the group have sent half of the money at this time and we will need to send the remaining amount in a few months. We hope to involve the children in raising the amount.
