             I want to let you know about an effort that Session is making this fall to receive your thoughts on how the ministries of Emmanuel are going.

             Session has planned meetings to be held after church during the months of September,

October and November as outlined below.

The purpose of these meetings is to hear from any member of the congregation who has a joy, concern, or suggestion about any area of church life at Emmanuel.  Each Commission, the

Session itself, as well as the Deacons, will host a gathering after church as scheduled.  You are

invited to attend any, or all, of the gatherings.  Your input will become part of our goal-setting for the coming year.

Two members of each commission/group will host the meeting along with the pastor.

Each meeting is intended to last about 40 minutes, with a 60 minute limit (anyone who wishes to talk about an issue after that can stay and talk with Paul Q).

There are three basic areas of interest we would like to explore with you concerning the

various groups and ministries of Emmanuel:

1.  What do you perceive as great and should be continued.

2.  What do you think isn't vital, and we might want to end.

3.  What new thing we would like to see happening at Emmanuel in a given area of church life.

Please give this some thought and plan to attend any gatherings that interest you.
