Handbell Choir Director

Cindy rang her first handbell in 1986 when she joined the bell choir at Savage Memorial Presbyterian Church, and started solo ringing shortly after that.  She went to a Bells of the Cascades concert and immediately asked to audition and has been ringing with BOC since 1991.  While attending a handbell conference, she took her first conducting class, then started studying under her choir director at Savage.  She took over the bell choir as director in 1992 when the director retired, and has been directing there ever since.  She began directing the bell choir here at Emmanuel in 2014 and has been trying to find the perfect opportunity to play some music with the combined groups.  Cindy grooms and boards dogs and in her spare time, volunteers with the Oregon Humane Society.  She also enjoys stamping and painting greeting cards, cooking, and working in her garden.
